Dear Students,

We invite you to take part in a national survey aimed at identifying digital and physical barriers in higher education.

The anonymous questionnaire is primarily intended for students with disabilities or special needs, but we also welcome the experiences of all students who encounter barriers during their studies in accessing information, services or teaching, or in using university premises and other parts of the higher education

The questionnaire can be completed between 7 and 23 October 2026 and takes approximately 25 minutes to complete.

Your experiences will help us identify existing barriers and propose measures to create a more accessible university environment for everyone.

The survey is conducted by the Support Center for Students with Special Needs at Comenius University Bratislava as part of Project 2.12 Support Measures (Higher Education Subproject) of the Ministry of Education, Research, Development and Youth of the Slovak Republic.

We will soon welcome a new group of international students joining the Faculty of Civil Engineering for the winter semester of 2026/2027. This time, students from Lithuania, France, Poland, Spain, Italy, and Uzbekistan will be joining us. We hope they will feel at home here, gain plenty of new knowledge, experiences, and friendships, and thoroughly enjoy their stay not only in Žilina, but also while exploring all of Slovakia.

The Dean of the Faculty of Civil Engineering, University of Žilina, announces the second round of applications for PhD studies (full-time and part-time study modes) for the 2026/2027 academic year.

Applications are invited for the following study programmes in the field of Civil Engineering, with the available PhD research topics listed below:

• Construction Technology and Management
