Subjects for bachelor studies

Transport, both motorised and non-motorised, and transport infrastructure are areas of civil engineering where new technologies are constantly being developed. If you are interested in this fascinating field, you have the opportunity to get to know it and specialise in it.

In Traffic Engineering 1 (4B0D502)Road Engineering 1 (4B0D501) a Road Engineering 2 (4B0D606) students will gain a basic understanding of design and construction in road engineering. They will learn the principles of road alignment geometry design taking into account safety requirements, specifications, materials and road construction practices.

For the Building Engineering programme, this is compressed in the course Design of Road Construction (4BPD508).

Law in Construction 1 (4B0D608) will enable students to deepen their legal awareness of public and private law and to develop a basic legal awareness for the needs of subsequent professional specialisation in the construction industry.

Environmental Protection and Occupational Health and Safety (4B0D410) provides an overview of a range of environmental topics with which a civil engineer may come into contact. The student will learn to design solutions that minimise the negative impact of transport on the environment.

Courses are also offered in English as part of the Civil Engineering Structures programme
